Applications & Jurisdiction Requirements

Every AHJ has its own requirements, submission processes, and portal procedures. ZG navigates those differences, from application preparation and jurisdiction-specific document naming to accurate portal or email submission. Once submitted, we diligently monitor permit activity, document status updates, and keep your team informed throughout the review process. When movement stalls, we follow up directly with the AHJ, escalate when appropriate, and continue pushing the permit forward through approval and issuance.

Corrections & Revisions

We coordinate directly with your team and designated engineer to address jurisdictional review comments and required plan revisions. Utilizing the engineer’s designated portals when applicable, we track corrections through completion, obtain revised documentation, and promptly resubmit to the AHJ, minimizing delays and keeping the permit moving toward approval.

NOCs & Supporting Documents

ZG brings extensive knowledge of Florida’s Notice of Commencement process, coordinating applicable NOCs from preparation and notarization through recording and certification. With NOCs generally effective for one year from the date of recording unless otherwise specified, we help ensure these documents are properly managed throughout the project and through closeout. Upon project completion, our team can coordinate related documentation as needed, including contractor affidavits, Notices of Termination, and other supporting documents required for proper project closure.

Follow-Up Through Approval

We don’t submit and wait. We understand that permits drive project timelines, and every day without movement matters. ZG actively monitors each permit, follows up directly with the AHJ, and pushes for progress throughout the review process. Whether the path to issuance requires revisions, additional documentation, fire review, flood requirements, departmental approvals, or escalation, we identify the next step and keep it moving. We follow through, follow up, and push forward until every requirement within our control is addressed and the permit reaches issuance.

Scheduling & Tracking

ZG coordinates inspections directly with homeowners and building departments, navigating jurisdictional portals and scheduling requirements to keep projects moving. We monitor scheduled inspections, obtain inspector ETAs when available, support virtual inspections when applicable, track results, and keep your team informed of inspection status and next steps.

Failed Inspections

A failed inspection doesn’t mean the project stops. ZG obtains and reviews the inspection report, communicates deficiencies to your designated team, and coordinates the next steps required for correction. Once corrections are complete, we promptly reschedule the inspection and continue tracking it through approval, keeping failed inspections from sitting unresolved.

Finals & Closeout

We stay with the project through the final inspection and jurisdictional closeout. ZG tracks final inspection results, coordinates outstanding documentation, and verifies that the permit is properly closed within the AHJ’s system. When applicable, we obtain and provide the Certificate of Completion (COC) or other jurisdiction-issued closeout documentation to your team.
